We are accepting applications for the following position:

COOK

**This position is location on the island of Little Cayman**

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Daily set up of workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, peeling, cutting, cleaning) including meats, vegetables, fish.
• Ensure all food and ingredients are stored properly by checking for quality and rotating stock; monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
• Work independently to meet weekly set menu objectives.
• Minimize waste of ingredients and prepared foods.
• Adjust food items for guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
• Display safe handling of food by adhering to occupational health and safety standards at all times.
   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1 year as a Cook in a restaurant or resort/hotel with proven knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (baking, frying, grilling, etc.).
• Ability to work in a team; proactive with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• A satisfactory Police record and fluency in English is required.
• Applicants must be willing to work late shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, walking, to complete job tasks as needed.

Hourly Wage: CI$4.50 - CI$7.00 per hour + gratuities
