We are accepting applications for the following position:
HOSTESS
Directs guests to their requested outlet, whether that is the pool, beach, restaurant or elsewhere. Responsible for managing restaurant reservations and telephone and handling the flow of guests to ensure the best service possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Sets up the host/hostess stand and review reservations.
Assigns seating, taking into account service standards.
Inspects the cleanliness of each section of the dining room and the private dining rooms and make necessary improvements as well as checks each table prior to opening to ensure its proper set-up.
Inspects every menu and list to ensure their condition and appearance is adequate.
Opens the restaurant for business at the prescribed time each shift.
Greets each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.
Develops a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is unavailable for the day.
Knows the server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity.
Maintains a station chart and cover count for the restaurant.
Personally, ensures each guest receives the highest quality of service.
Handles lost and found items.
Checks guests coats or packages when necessary.
Answers telephones according to hotel standard and takes reservations or provides information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Hourly Range: US$8.00-US$10.00 per hour
