MAITRE’D

This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring seamless seating, efficient dining room flow, and impeccable service standards. The Maitre’d also leads and coordinates the host team while acting as a vital liaison between guests, waitstaff, and the kitchen.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival, escorting them to their tables in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure a smooth and organized seating process that maximizes guest comfort and operational efficiency.
• Address guest concerns, special requests, or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Build rapport with regular guests, recognizing preferences and providing a personalized dining experience.
• Manage and maintain reservation bookings, ensuring accuracy and optimal table allocation.
• Oversee waitlists during peak periods, communicating wait times clearly and managing guest expectations.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Assist guests with menu selections and confidently recommend specials, promotions, and enhancements.
• Support upselling initiatives while maintaining a refined and guest-focused approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a Maître d’, Head Host, or comparable supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and point-of-sale software; Seven Rooms experience preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.

Salary Range: US$55,000-US$65,000 per annum
