We are accepting applications for the following position:
HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Overseeing the daily operations of housekeeping staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
- Collaborating with other managers to develop department budgets and plans for growth or change within their organization
- Ensuring that staff members comply with safety regulations, such as wearing appropriate footwear or using ladders or lifts when needed
- Consulting with the facility’s medical staff to ensure that infection control procedures are being followed
- Creating schedules for cleaning personnel, including assigning tasks and setting deadlines for completion
- Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining records of supplies used
- Reviewing employee work performance to ensure that it meets standards of quality and efficiency
- Conducting regular inspections of work areas to ensure that they are clean and safe
- Coordinating with facility managers to ensure that housekeeping staff have access to supplies and equipment they need to do their jobs efficiently
- Overseeing and managing the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of the resort to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Ensure that rooms are delivered inspected for guests by check-in daily and that guests receive daily housekeeping service at their preferred time
- Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensures compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Manage operating expenses to minimize costs while providing excellent guest services
- Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
- Must be on call for emergencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
Salary Range: US$45,000-US$55,000 per annum + gratuities
Benefits: In accordance with CI Labour Act
Location: Palm Heights, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
