Operations Assistant

 

The Operations Assistant will support business operations of multiple retail outlets by performing Sales support documentation, reconciliation and administration. This critical role ensures accurate reports and information is provided to the Management team in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Provide support to the Management team to maximize operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in and take record of disciplinary meetings as necessary, providing guidance to Sales Supervisors.
  • Coordinate and schedule staff training, orientation, in store events.
  • Update internal operational procedures as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients; Ensure standards for quality, customer service, health and safety are upheld.
  • Participate in meetings, taking minutes and follow up on actions.
  • Manage requests by Sales Supervisors on inventory, staff purchases, price requests, sales incentives.
  • Create Purchase Orders for buying department.  
  • Review, verify and investigate to daily store reconciliation paperwork to ensure procedures are completed accurately.
  • Review overtime reports in conjunction with Sales Supervisors to meet demands and ensure efficiencies of scheduling sales staff.
  • Perform other related duties may be required from time to time which may include selling and till operations.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, merchandising and/or operations for a multiple store retailer.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of prior administrative support experience with at least one (1) year working with a Retail Management System (RMS).
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • High level of proficiency MS Office.
  • English fluency.
  • Must be able to work late shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Must be comfortable speaking with the public.

 

Physical/Mental demands include: Standing for extended periods, lifting 20lbs, work in an environment where attention to detail is essential, problem solve.


Remuneration and Benefits: 

Salary is in the range of CI$35,000 - CI$40,000 per annum based on experience.  

Package includes health insurance and pension benefits as specified by Cayman Islands law.
