We are accepting applications for the following position:

FOOD & BEVERAGE BARBACK

The Barback position will assist the bar team in efficiently carrying out daily operations.

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

• Welcome guests arriving at the bar
• Serve food and beverages to guests, making recommendations if needed
• Share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
• Assist the Bartender by preparing garnishes, taking beverage orders, delivering drinks
• Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and in a timely manner; inform Bartender of new orders
• Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, clear glasses, cutlery and dishes; replenish bar inventory and other supplies
• Follow opening and closing duties of bar operations
• Assist with setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a high-volume restaurant/bar is essential, with a comprehensive background and knowledge of food & beverage
• Basic beverage and wine knowledge required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well in environment with time constraints
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently
• Must maintain a professional image
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including outside of normal business hours (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays), as needed
• Be able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be exposed to a noisy, humid and hot environment. Temperatures will vary depending on weather and location of work being conducted (indoors/outdoors)
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling or otherwise move objects
• Frequently lift 25lbs, occasionally lift 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to walk throughout work shift to accomplish tasks

Hourly Wages: US$8.00-US$10.00 per hour plus gratuities
