We are accepting applications for the following position:
BEACH AMBASSADOR
The Beach Ambassador will ensure guests have a memorable and enjoyable beach experience, responsible for carrying out the smooth operation of our beach facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outstanding customer service; welcome guests, provide towels, shade, refreshments and attend to their specific request.
- Anticipate guest needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services, or information.
- Proactively assist guests in the support of their wellbeing and enjoyment. Address any issues or concerns by over exceeding guest expectations.
- Have complete knowledge of all beach area amenities; be able to educate guests on products and services available to them.
- Recognize guest dissatisfaction promptly and take action to resolve the situation according to individual level of responsibility and procedures.
- Monitor guest activity to ensure safety and report any incidents to the supervisor for resolution.
- Dispense, collect, and track towel inventories inclusive of charging guests for non-returned towels.
- Work collaboratively to ensure designated work goals are met. Ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest service is provided across all beach facilities and amenities.
- Perform routine opening and closing duties for all aspects of the beach area including ensuring all equipment and amenities are properly set up and secured in accordance with standards which includes organization and maintenance of beach furniture arrangement, including umbrellas and loungers.
- Maintain appearance of beach lounge chairs, cabanas, beach area ensuring they are properly placed, clean and deemed safe for use in accordance with standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and condition of the beach area throughout the day, promptly address any issues or concerns.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years’ experience in a recreational role within a hotel environment.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
- Strong team player.
- Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of beach safety practices and protocols is an asset.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
Salary: USD$8.00 - USD$10.00 Per Hour (paid bi-weekly)
Benefits: In accordance with Cayman Islands law
