Sales Manager

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is a senior level position which manages, plans, and drives sales results from the retail floor.

Key responsibilities and job duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Visiting individual stores of the company and investigating the performance and operations of each store
  • Ensuring that all the stores are working towards higher profitability.
  • Checking the financial details of each store and ensuring that they are in order.
  • Ensuring that all the stores are adhering to and working as per company policies.
  • Provide troubleshooting solutions to stores in times of problems; Monitor the P&L reports for each store and develop effective ways to fill in any gaps between actual performance and company projections.
  • Manage inventory for turn and monitor aged goods for sell-through. Avoid inventory shrinkage with counts and other strategies.
  • Know the marketplace and ALL Cayman competitors in your business.
  • Reporting to the General Manager and Senior Executives on progress and performance issues of each store
  • Prioritize store performance issues to make certain that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first.
  • Immediately address any lapses in compliance with company policies or local laws
  • Act as a coach to the store managers and as a resource to each store employee to help inspire the success of each store.
  • Set standards and objectives for different stores and departments.
  • Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals.
  • Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
  • Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.
  • Assist upper management in decisions for expansion or acquisition.

Qualifications:

  • 5 Years similar experience in a retail management role.
  • Excellent analytical skills in order to study the functioning of stores.
  • Ability to travel between locations to visit stores.
  • Sound knowledge about the working policies, rules, and regulations of the company
  • Sound knowledge about sales and marketing strategies
  • Creativity to think up new plans to increase the productivity of the store.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent management and VM capabilities.
  • Prioritize store performance issues to make certain that the issues most directly affecting profitability are addressed first.
  • Immediately address any lapses in compliance with company policies or local laws
  • Proven experience as area manager, store manager, or similar managerial role within the retail industry
  • Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success.
  • Working knowledge of POS software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, retail management or similar field preferred
  • Verified background in Multi Site Management.
