As part of our ongoing investment in Cayman’s future workforce, Island Companies Ltd. is proud to offer a scholarship for students enrolled at a local university who are pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, or a technical diploma in Hospitality or other approved fields as designated by Island Companies Ltd.This scholarship reflects our commitment to cultivating Caymanian talent and empowering the next generation of leaders in the Hospitality Industry.

The scholarship award is up to CI$10,000 for one year and is renewable, based on academic performance, continued enrolment, and satisfactory progress.

Requirements:

Applicants must:

• Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years old at the time of application.
• Have already obtained, or expect to obtain during the current school year, academic qualifications required for acceptance into a university or technical program.
• Provide a conditional acceptance letter from a local university.
• Be Caymanian or hold Caymanian Status.
• Have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursue a course of study in Hospitality or another designated discipline approved by Island Companies Ltd.

Required Documents:

Applicants must upload the following documents to the application portal:

• Academic Reference Form
• Personal Reference Form
  • Note: Both forms are completed online and will be sent to the referee’s email address for completion.

• Upload- Proof of having right to be Caymanian
  • Note: (Caymanian Status Letter or Acknowledgement Letter. If applicable, adoption documents must also be provided.)
• Upload-Proof of Domicile (Employment Letter, Bank Letter, Academic Transcripts)
• Submit Online – Academic History Details
• Upload-Official Transcripts from high school, post-secondary, and/or tertiary institutions, as applicable
• Upload - Copies of all degrees or certificates achieved
• Upload – Proof of relevant work experience (If Applicable)
• Entered online - Institution and Program Details
• Upload - Letter of acceptance or evidence of application from college/university
  • Note: Provisional or unconditional letters accepted. Note: An unconditional acceptance letter is required by HR prior to any disbursement of funds
• Upload – Degree Plan, showing your planned course schedule for the duration of the program
• Upload - Official documentation from the college/university indicating semester-by-semester expenses
• Entered online - Personal Statement
• Upload -Parent(s) Employment Letter(s) (If under 18)

Application Details

Funds are disbursed directly to the institution unless otherwise specified.

All submitted information will be kept confidential and used solely for scholarship selection purposes.
