BARTENDER

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Maintain the function, efficiency, cleanliness, and organization of restaurant, pool, and outdoor bar areas; remove trash and keep spaces unobstructed.
• Monitor and track inventory of liquors, glassware, napkins, straws, and garnishes; inform Bar Manager of supply needs.
• Clean glassware to support continuous, uninterrupted service.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the beverage list, including appropriate glassware.
• Ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages.
• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages courteously, efficiently, and according to Palm Heights specifications.
• Collaborate with F&B servers to prepare and deliver beverage orders in a speedy, professional manner.
• Handle guest payments, balance checks, and close out the cash register at shift end.
• Greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.
• Recognizes regular guests and greets them by name.
• Follow the established procedures to ensure knowledgeable, correct and efficient order taking.
• Ascertains a guest’s satisfaction and handles any problem which may arise by informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
• Recognizes and addresses potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests
• Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the international hotel standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Certificate or diploma in related field.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and non alcoholic beverages, including proper glassware and service methods.
• Ability to mix standard and signature cocktails consistently and efficiently.
• Basic inventory and stock taking skills (liquors, glassware, straws, garnishes, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including working outside of normal business hours (i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed).
• Be able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions.

Salary: USD$8.00 - USD$9.00 per Hour + gratuities
